Sunday in Estonia (Andrea)

Hello everyone! I am Andrea and I am currently hosted by Maarjia in the beautiful Kanepi. On my first day with them, which was Saturday, we didn't have a lot of time because I arrived at 8 o'clock in the evening. We had dinner and Maarjia showed me some parts of her village. She showed me a statue that is placed in a park and is dedicated to the people from Kanepi that died during the war for the Independence of Estonia in 1918-1920.
On Sunday, her mother drove us (Marrjia, Sixtina, Maria and I) to Võru county where we climbed the highest peak of Estonia which is called Suur Munamägi. There was a tower there from the top of which we could see a big part of Estonia. There was also a compass that showed us where to turn for the various counties and villages of Estonia as well as the capitals of many other countries.

After that, we went at the Road Museum where we had lots of fun. It was very interesting to learn about the different vehicles in Estonia.
Here are two photos that I took at the Road Museum. ->

Monday

Today we visited the Kanepi Gymnasium! At the begining we had a tour of the school and we saw the differences between our school and this one. The classes here are smaller and with different colours. The students' age is from 7 years old to 17 in constrast with our school where the students' age is from 15 to 18. Later we learned how to make flower crafts, we sang songs in english and estonian and we also listened to estonian students of different ages singing. In the end we attented dancing lessons. It was really fun!

Veronika !

This student exchanges between Cyprus and Estonia have been the best project where I have been !

Mari.

Hey !

Well, I'm hosting Panayiota, who is really nice girl. It's kind a difficult to her (to be in my house) because my parents can't speak English, so i have to be a translator.
On Saturday  evening we went to walk near Jõksi lake with Doris and Andrie. We were really tired when we get back home.
On Sunday we went to see my horse-riding competition, I think it was kind a tiring to them. After that we went to the stable where me and Doris do the horse-riding. Panayiota and Andrie ride with a horse Arti, i hope they like it.
At the moment, it's all. :)

On Saturday evening came to Kanepi Cypriot girls. I'm hosting Maria. When she came I showed her my home. On Sunday we went to Haanja. There we visist Estonian highest point - Suur Munamägi. Next stop was in Võru and last we went to Estonian Road Museum. There we had a lunch. In the evening we barbecue with some friends. Today we are at school. Tomorrow we are going to see Põlva county. On Wednesday we are going to Tartu. I hope that they enjoy the trip.
